The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer: Arguing With Myself

Picture it:  The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer dropped in on the tiny Baltic nation of Estonia on his way to attend a NATO summit in Wales on Thursday where he met with the leaders of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

TWMDCO joined Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves for a joint press conference where he offered reassurance and military might promising to thwart Russia’s “dark tactics” and territorial ambitions should they spread from Ukraine to its NATO allies to the north.

In the Q&A session that followed their remarks, ABC’s Ann Compton asked:
“Thank you very much, Mr. President. Now that you say a second American has been slain, what is your response?  Will airstrikes continue inside Iraq? Might they expand into Syria?  Will you have a full strategy now on ISIS which will satisfy those like Prime Minister Cameron, who call it an imminent threat to all the interests?  And will it satisfy some of your supporters like Senator Feinstein who fears that on this you may have been too cautious? Thank you.”
At first, the president offered what seemed to be an unambiguous goal.  “The bottom line is this:  Our objective is clear and that is to degrade and destroy ISIL so it is no longer a threat.”

Compton asked the president to clarify whether the United States now wants ISIS destroyed.  The president went off script significantly backtracking with this: “Our objective is to make sure they aren’t an ongoing threat to the region.  We know that if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISIL’s sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its military capability to the point where it is a manageable problem.”

This golf-obsessed president has proven with excruciating embarrassment that he is ill-equipped to contend with an ever-growing litany of international crises.

No commentary I have adequately describes his ineptitude. So I leave you with an excerpt from a letter to the president written by the parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, a member of Navy SEAL Team 6, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011:
“As Commander-in-Chief, your actions—or lack thereof—Mr. President, cost lives. As you bumble about in your golf cart, slapping on a happy face and fist-pounding your buddies, your cowardly lack of leadership has left a gaping hole—not only in America’s security—but the security of the entire globe. Your message has come across loud and clear, sir:  You are not up to this job. You know it. We know it. The world knows it.”
“Please vacate the people’s house and allow a man or woman of courage and substance to seize the reins of this out-of-control thug-fest and regain the balance we, America, have provided throughout our great history.”
“Thanks to your ‘leadership’ from whatever multi-million dollar vacation you happen to be on at any given moment, the world is in chaos. What’s been gained, you’ve lost. What’s been lost, you’ve decimated. You’ve demolished our ability to hold the trust of allies. You’ve made a mockery of the title ‘President’.  And you’ve betrayed the nation for which my son and over 1.3 million others have sacrificed their very lives.”
